Five for Friday

http://doodlebugsteaching.blogspot.com/2015/07/five-for-friday-linky-party-july-17th.html

It's Friday!  Well, every day is kind of like Saturday to me, right now! Anyways, I'm linking up with Doodlebugs Teaching for her weekly linky party, check it out for tons of fun blogs to follow!
We had fun swimming this week...this one insisted on wearing goggles at the splash pad, too!

I FINALLY colored some rice for my kids to play with!  This bin is filled with shape cards for my three year old to work on .

The rice is so pretty, I didn't want to mix it up!

Working on this print for my sister.
I bought myself a FitBit!  I love it so far, I decided on the Charge (which has a screen) so I could more easily check my progress, but I kind of want the Flex because the bands come in so many cool colors and patterns!  I would love to hear your FitBit tips and stories, it's definitely motivating me to be more active!

  1. First of all I love your blog design. Super cute! And the dyed rice is pretty cool, was it easy to do? I've always wondered about those fitbit bracelets too! Those polka dot ones are adorable!

    1. Thanks Ms. McGaha! I love your blog design! I know, I want the polka dot fitbit, I might have to get the Flex so I have different options for the bracelets. Enjoy the rest of your summer!

  2. Hi. I have a rice question... did you use food coloring with rubbing alcohol, vinegar, or something else? I've seen it both ways. Love the polka dot band... didn't know there were fancy ones. See you around. Kathleen Kidpeople Classroom

    1. Thanks for checking out my post, Kathleen! I just used food coloring (neon) and a few tablespoons of water. I spread it out to dry overnight and so far it's holding up really well, the dye doesn't transfer to our hands.

    1. Thanks Kate! I just made the shapes quickly in Powerpoint and printed on colored paper, I only made 4 for him to start out with. He thinks everything is "red", lol. Thanks for checking out my post, I just love your blog!
